Foobar fun

Every Friday night is "foo-bar", an employee-sponsored bar/party. Tonight we climbed on ladders and strung up a LiveJournal banner over the LJ area... with ethernet cable.

I am posting this to your LJ because I am not sure where else to do this.
I am experiencing a very strange problem.
When I log in from my work computer, as I am right now, I have no problem getting onto LJ.
But when I go home, and want to log on there, I keep getting the error message:
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at
* Check the address for typing errors such as instead of

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

What can I do? I have tried clearing my cache and clearing the history.
Thanx for anything you can do to help.
i have a question, since you're the closest to an admin i've gotten. i logged in a few minutes ago and went to look at my friends' page and it was gone. like everything had been wiped out.
i still have all my friends on my profile [mutual friends and such]
but none of their entries are showing up in the friends page. is
this something that happens a lot? can it be fixed? i really
enjoy reading and commenting by the friend's page, less of a
hassle. help me out?
Help me get my old lj back.... i no longer have access to the email address i was using and i lot my password.....all i want is my old lj back

please help

Dear Brad,

I apply to you as to the god of Livejournal bearing in mind that you can manage everything here. My request regards the death of the famous Russian poet, publisher and translator Ilya Kormiltsev, karmakom. It happened in London, on the 7th of February, and the cause was cancer. Me and millions of Kormiltsev's fans in Russia would be very glad if you put in his journal a tag, a banner with the words: "Ilia Kormiltsev. In Memoriam". Ilya stopped blogging forever-but his onlkine diary will be commented forever, too. Please do not erase Ilya's blog, because it's his remembrance.
Thank you for your assistance,
Hello, just wondering, who would i have to talk to about deleted communities that were not deleted by the maintainers?? that happened to the community saiyuki_69 and i have quite a few complaints...

How are you ?

do you know when the next purging cycle will be?
Sorry but I can't find the answer anywhere.
Превед, Фитцпатрег!
я горда тобой!
Fitzpatrick! Russia loves you! )

Preved! )
If you're wondering where my journal went --- I've moved it to a different account. "bradfitz" is now just for LiveJournal-related posting.

So, aren't you going to give us the details on where your real LiveJournal account is?

me too. it probably is. i think it is, in all honesty.
that is a really cool banner you made for !
I don't know if I ever personally thanked you for working through the problems you had with the early livejournal databases and the code and probably the many thankless hours of work that you must have put into the project.
I wanted to let you know that I have appreciated your work as I appreciate the work of many hackers around the planet.
I'm hoping this wholesale deletion of journals is not what you had in mind when you sold Danga to Six Apart.

You are all stupid motherfuckers for the latest activities that you've done. I can't believe that you'd do something so fucking stupid. I guess all you could see were the $$ instead of actually seeing these journals that you automatically banned even though there was nothing wrong with them at all.

Good luck because you're about to lose a ton of paying members here and you're going to have to rely even more on ads to get funding. I guess you're going to have to make people start clicking an ad to actually submit a comment or a post.
