I'm one of the mods of [info]phoenixfndrpg. And I had a few questions about tweaking a few things in our S2FlexiSquares layout.

[1]Can I include a picture in my links list next to my link? (Example: [image] Link)

[2] Is there a way I can add another box to my sidebar?

Its been awhile since I fussed with FlexiSquares. I'm functional in HTML and CSS.

Feel free to point me to any tutorials/guides/how tos.

Thanks for you help ahead of time.

In the FAQ 62 there is a line that should be removed or at least edited.

Written beside "User Info Page:"

The full version of your User Info page (http://exampleusername.livejournal.com/profile/?mode=full) shows the number of comments you have received and posted.

That is not true anymore, we can see the number of comments we have received and posted in the "normal" profile, since the last change of the profiles.

As is was finally fixed in #54, existing tags to entries in communities could be picked by its authors and maintainers. It should be mentioned in FAQ226.

Current:
By default, community maintainers can create new tags for the community and community members can add tags to entries; community maintainers must add new tags to entries before members can see or use them for entries. Maintainers can change community tag settings at the Manage Tags page. Community tag permissions can be granted to everyone, members only, a custom Friends group, or maintainers only.

Existent tags also could be permitted to add by entry's authors and maintainers. ([[gmlitem:/manage/tags.bml.setting.author]])

I'm noting this while I came across it, but I'm too tired to make an actual suggestion.

How do I play or transcribe a voice post? should probably say something about the "Disable auto-transcription" option on http://www.livejournal.com/manage/voicepost.bml

It took me a surprisingly long time to find the faq on customized comment pages, and that's because it's really not linked much. Currently it's only linked in 47 "how do I add a memory", 114 "paid time expiration", and 156 "comment time zones".

At the very least, it should be added to: 62 "What are comments?" and 131 "Paid account benefits" (since having it in expiration but not benefits is a bit of a faulty parallelism), and maybe in 186 "What is sitescheme".

One can actually point a subdomain to one's LJ, although there's no mention of this in the faq as yet. One does this by the same mechanism that one points a domain there.

This can be seen in the wild on http://blog.azurelunatic.net

I'd propose to change the FAQ as follows:

Current:
Paid, Permanent, and Plus users can forward their domain to their LiveJournal, after a short setup process.

Proposed:
Paid, Permanent, and Plus users can forward their domain or subdomain to their LiveJournal, after a short setup process.

Changed the title of 12 to append "(S1)" after it came up in a search with its title identical to 282 and I had a moment of horrified bafflement.

FAQ 33 links to the Edit profile page here:
or set your timezone on the Edit Profile page.

But I've searched the Edit Profile page, and I can't find a timezone setting anywhere. Even after reading this 2007 [info]lj_userdoc entry on the subject. There's the Location setting, but I'm guessing that the timezone setting was moved off the Edit Profile page at some point. For consistency, perhaps the link in FAQ33 should be updated to point to the Display tab of the Account Settings page instead, thus:
or set your timezone on the Display tab of the Account Settings page.
